Scrapbooks; my personal recipe books!
…where «scrapbooks», look at my handmade recipe notebooks with the recipes I ‘ve been collecting very choosy at least the last 10 years!
Clips, small cut papers and other stuff from magazines, the internet or else, carefully find their place in my scrapbooks.
My scrapbooks are certain notebooks personalised by cutting, pasting and decorating them in such a way that, when they’re finished, they constitute a whole new recipe book with completely different kinds of food/dessert recipes, photographs, articles, my comments or not, sketches, drawings, collage etc, all in one place!
I believe scapbooking is a very nice hobby for those who are in the mood to burst out their artistic insticts or just want to practically collect and gather the stuff they are interested in, all in one place –an aestetically nice and personal one!
To tell you the truth, I didn’t know that what I have been doing the last years was called «scrapbooking»! In Greece, scrapbooking isn’t something very popular or known but there are a few that deal with it: www.scrapbooking.gr
My scrapbooks are divided in salty and sweet ones and, to tell you the truth, the salty one is already at its 2nd Volume, with a bulk of stuff waiting patiently for its turn to be placed in the proper space!
Now that I write all these, I realise that these personal recipe books have been the forerunners of Wonderfoodland! Same concept in different media! Hmmm….!
So, If you are the kind of guy that loves handicrafts and wants to be a craftsman, scrapbooking is a nice hobby and in my case, practical too!
