Olive oil tasting in Elais -a historic olive oil greek company!

February 27, 2011

40 food bloggers had the chance to learn more about the production of bottled extra virgin olive oil in the historic and very beautiful building of the company Elais and taste a series of bad and good olive oils yesterday, 26th of Feb: oxidized, moldy and more stinky (!) tastes and smells and tastes but also spicy, fruity and pleasantly bitter and aromatic ones.

We had the chance to meet each other and learn more things about our national product that must gain its right position in the global markets!

That was a very clever move of Elais that others food companies should imitate too –but be careful with the way they make their move!

Thanks a lot Vicky Koumantou and Greek Food Blogs for this opportunity!
